Other notable Idaho druggists

Ballou-Latimer drug store on the corner of 9th & Idaho Streets, Boise, Idaho. In 1901 Clarence
Ballou, a pharmacist for Joy Drugs, partnered up with fellow pharmacist, James Latimer, and bought
out F. W. Galbraith located at 115 North 8th Street in the I.O.O.F. Lodge building. On January 1,
1913 the Ballou-Latimer Drug Store moved into Martha McCarty's new building on the northeast
corner of 9th and Idaho Street. It is both surprising and disappointing that no embossed bottles from
this company are known to exist.
